Whew, feels like we dodged a bullet. Hurricane Maria passed Providenciales, Turks & Caicos with relatively little activity and minimal damage. And the old adage 'prepare for the worst and hope for the best' held true as folks took preparation very seriously which is a great thing even if it wasn't completely necessary.
The DDME (Department of Disaster Management & Emergencies) gave the 'all clear' for our islands this AM:
And our airport, PLS, is resuming operations this morning!
We'll be back home in a few days and can't wait to see our friends and help out with rebuilding however we can. And thanks to everyone that has generously donated to our fund, we are at over $22,000 so far! Help us keep it going, we're really pushing for $25,000!
